We prepaid in hopes of saving time, but still had to wait about ten minutes for a cart. Further away from the port than other golf cart places, but they were super nice. The golf cart was loud but worked fine. Had to use the restroom and they brought me to one in the jewelry place next door. Also offered me a ride back to port when I dropped off the cart

Rented a golf cart for the day but got a lemon. Barely hit 15 mph. But it did get me and my wife around Isla Mujeres. The service was great and everyone at Gomar were very nice.
Their scam is a real doozey. They set up a \police checkpoint\ and stop you for some nonsense reason, then moments later, like a magician, the staff from Gomar II appears out of thin air and pretends to help you. Then before you know it, the police are trying to extort you for money, but somehow you're able to pay the Gomar II company.. for a fine by the police. They are sinners who should expect to rot in hell for all eternity, and that helps me sleep at night.
BEWARE! These guys have a side hussel giving your name, hotel info, and picture (they take a picture of you when you pick the cart up) out to a jeweler right down from them. When I returned the cart this afternoon, one of the jewelers was sitting on the corner. He acted like he knew me from my hotel, and called me out by name. He acted like we were best friends and wanted to introduce us to his cousin and uncle. They lured us into their \family business\ jewelry store, where it became a very high pressure sales situation. We did not buy anything, but beware they tried to guilt trip us, bully us, and push us to buy something. Do not rent from these guys. The carts are the slowest carts on the island, our cart struggled to get up inclines.
Great deal and great way to get around I was happy with my golf cart. I don't know why people want to speed. My golf cart did break down but they came with in 5 minutes to get me.
