IMPORTANT: There are 2 ferry companies and they leave every 30 min from and to Holbox island, BUT due to covid precautions the schedule may change. Don't forget to ask prior buying your ticket. Also, if you travel to Chiquila (the town where you get the ferry to Holbox) by ADO bus, they can sell you the ferry tickets as well and you can pay them with card (the price is the same as in the ferry station MXN200 aprox).

I read all the reviews, but it is what it is and that's 10 US dollars today, in December 2020, for a one-way trip. I think going out there just for one day doesn't afford enough time, so spend the night, and you can get decent rooms for less than 50 USD.
This was our first time here and honestly we used the red ferry first and they got us there in no time ! We used the blue ferry coming back and it was the same thing ! Both companies where clean and professional! I will be coming back ️️️ Thanks

We didn't take the big ferry, we took the smaller boat for the same price...another quicker too...
Great way to get from Chiquila to Holbox. The ferry is clean and always on time.
Short ride to holbox enjoyed the night view outside. Very nice. Do get a senior discount as well which is very nice
9 hermanos ferry was much faster than their competition and also didn't have that many ppl on board. We bought tickets both ways in Mayab bus on the way to Chiquila,that saved us a bit of time. Price was the same as if we are to buy it at the terminal.
