Located in downtown Guadalajara, they have some creepy dolls in cases with different uniforms, real military transport vehicles such as a tank, jeep, various helicopters and planes from the Cold War era mainly but they also had a few planes from WWII. Staff is all military and super friendly, perfectly pruned lawn and the building is visually really nice. Lots of creepy mannequins dressed in various uniforms throughout mexican history. I would have been more than happy to pay an entrance fee, really surprised you can take selfies with so many cool planes for free! Well worth a visit if you're in town and like old planes in good condition.

The Ministry of National Defense, in its desire to spread the culture and rapprochement of national and international society with the Mexican Army and Air Force, established this museum in the former facilities of the Colorado Barracks. The building is a historical testimony, the visitor is faced with a construction with neoclassical elements, consisting of three bodies, a central one that stands out to the other two, with two checkpoints flanking the entrance. The upper part with its eagle-shaped frontispiece with extended wings. The other two bodies are run. Its construction dates back to the beginning of the 20th century, when on December 24, 1903, Mrs. María Martínez, widow of Somellera, sold to the Federal Government, a land located on the outskirts of the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco. The construction of the Insurgent name building \Pedro Moreno\ better known as Cuartel Colorado, was carried out by Engineer Antonio Arroniz, in the period from 1903 to 1905, specifically to house troops and was inaugurated during the last presidential term of Porfirio Díaz. It has been occupied by various Army units, being the Military School of Transmission Classes, the last to remain until the beginning of 1998, once remodeled, was inaugurated as a Museum of the Mexican Army and Air Force on June 12, 1999.

I liked this place! I learned alot , they have some intresting artifacts. The aviation halls were my favorite. Best of all its free.
