Chef anthony provides probably the best epicurean focused dining experience in ensenada. This isn't a tourist place, people come here to eat. And with good reason! He stays true to his path of authentic italian cooking and puts the bar very high.

Why did you charged 27usd regarding a party that brought their own cake after having dinner at your restaurant? They were celebrating a birthday and asked your managerial staff if they could bring their own cake to your restaurant cause what they wanted wasn’t offered in your dessert menu; you agree to that and never specified you were going to charge them for having their own cake at your restaurant but at the end of their venue you charged them for the cake in their consumption bill. Do you think that’s fair? I don’t think so! You took advantage! That’s a big reason I don’t recommend this restaurant!
Da Toni is hands down the best culinary experience in Ensenada and I make that statement having 25 years dining daily in Ensenada and the surrounding area. What comes out of his kitchen is amazing which is why every chef in Ensenada and those visiting pay homage to his skills by dining regularly at his restaurant. Everything is recommended as it's a master class in Italian cuisine. My one suggestion would be to have Toni explain the menu to you and then just turn him loose to bring dish after dish family style so everyone gets a sampling of several different offerings. This will reinforce just how good his skills are across the board. There are no weaknesses in Toni's game. Bon appetit!

Finally ate at da Toni last night and had a wonderful dining experience! Food is inventive and refined. As as you will find at the beat Italian restaurants in NY and LA. To start our meal, spicy clam appetizer and calamari were both amazing. And the pastas were superb - the uni pasta was especially delicious. Atmosphere is like a comfy small bistro with great service, too. Can’t wait to go back!
