I was really impressed by the food at Biko. The wall paper by the entrance before the elevator ride up, looking something of an Italian cafeteria, was misleading to what you experience in the main dining room. We went for lunch, and although definitely the most underdressed, we felt welcome and comfortable. The service was excellent, as was the presentation. Each dish looked beautiful, and did not fall short in flavour. I would say it was the most gastronomic of the meals we ate between Quintonil, Pujol and Biko. No English menus here but servers were accommodating of our questions. Stand outs were: sopa de maiz quemado, callo garra de leon y papaya and the desert - mousse de brownie con helado de plantano. My only critique is that pistachio was used in two dishes and it felt somehow repetitive. The hamachi curado con manzana, in this respect, could have been elevated if the pistachio had crunch - the textures were all very soft. Otherwise, it was a very good meal and reasonably priced. I would return eager to try new dishes.

My meal at Biko started out really well -- really good bread, excellent amuse, solid first course. Unfortunately the tasting menu was pretty uneven. Dishes are extremely artistic -- they're beautiful! Some had taste to match, others not so much. The menu is supposedly basque inspired, which I didn't really get. Overall a good experience, but not very memorable.

Unique. The blend of Spanish food made with Mexican ingredients is seamless. Very well though out dishes and everything tastes great. I had the degustation menu and loved it. The wine pairing was adequate although I would've preferred to pay more and receive better wines. At least they should have an option for a higher end wine pairing. But overall it was an outstanding meal. The first dessert was so unique. It was saffron and curry, not traditional dessert spices, with coconut. And it worked so well. The best part of the meal is the price. I paid about 55 USD for my tasting menu. Being from NY a meal of this quality would run well over 200. All in all highly recommend.

As a follower of the world's 50 (and 100) best restaurants, I had incredibly high standards for a restaurant ranked 65th in the world. I'll start with the good- the service was incredible. The waiter thought of everything we might need down to bringing a new spoon within 30 seconds of simply hearing one drop on the floor. The ambiance and small details were well thought out. The most important part- the food- was well below average. To start, the menu is so confusing and we spent a good 15 minutes just staring at it trying to figure out what things were (and trying to figure out how it was organized). We had to ask how it worked in order to figure it out, which in my opinion should be the first thing the waiter needs to explain. All of the food lacked salt. If I'm going to pay 100 for a meal, it better be impeccably thought out and taste even better. Even after asking for salt, it was still lacking in flavor and imagination. The best thing we had was a tamarind margarita and the cheese plate (which doesn't involve any cooking...). They also served bread on the side, but it was cold and definitely not even close to the best bread I've ever eaten. If something isn't perfect, it shouldn't be served, otherwise it will just take away from the rest of the meal. Out of 7 courses, 2 were semi decent. Save your money and go find yourself some tacos al pastor.

Amazing food and extremely accommodating staff. This extremely exclusive restaurant requires advanced reservations and is rather hard to find considering it's low profile enterence but one inside you are in for a very unique and highly refined experience.

Looks like hotel cafeteria. Waiter was the best part with his service. Food quite average and nothing special. I've heard it was great but definetely I am not comming back.

Good flavors, and presentation. Should really have one or 2 more plates in the tasting menu (it had 6). Service is good but for a restaurant of such aspirations it could be better.
