For Mexican standards this is a fairly pricey restaurant. The building is lovely, the food was nice, without being exceptional, the service was good, but a couple of things let it down. One of our main courses was completely forgotten by the chefs, and came when the rest of us were nearly finished our meals. They add a 15% service charge to the bottom of the bill by hand ... this is illegal in Mexico. Whilst we're happy to give a tip, we don't like being told how much it should be. The Mexicans wouldn't have this tip added to their bills, because they all know its illegal, so it leaves a bad taste in your mouth ... perhaps it should be called "a clueless tourist charge!" Lastly we asked if we could bring a very good bottle of Australian wine that I brought over with me, and pay corkage, but the corkage charge was USD 25.00. That's ridiculously high.

The food was exceptional and the service terrific. We ordered the special of the day and they cooked it right at our table. It was a very entertaining.
Problably the most decorated restaurant at La Isla. Enjoy a coffee or a margarita in the cool and dark interior after a day on the beach. Or sit outside to watch the "paseo". A formal place in good company.
One of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to. Massive sculptures and paintings decorate the whole place. Antipasti e affetatti di terra had a really great variety of meats, cheese and vegetables. Unfortunately the food that followed wasn't nearly as good. We asked for the tuna steaks medium rare, but it came overcooked. The penne arrabiata had odd seasonings that didn't suit it well. Crispy chocolate ravioli was dry and tasteless. Servers weren't attentive.
Surprisingly good! Our family grew up outside of New York City in New Jersey where we have countless good Italian restaurants. We've been coming to Cancun for eight years straight and never even considered eating Italian food there. Last year that changed and we have a new go-to restaurant in Cancun. Been there twice now and was not disappointed either time. Highly recommend for a nice alternative.
I went here 14 years ago I was just talking to a friend about this place. The way the place was decorated, the art and the design I will never forget. It was a great experience the service, the food and the bottles of wine in will never forget I will be back someday. I can recommend this place great for food, photos and having a nice romantic dinner or just enjoying the experience.
Excellent service, good food and plenty of options to choose from. I personally enjoyed the pasta, it has a good Italian taste. Nice decoration but in my opinion music was a loud other than that it's a good option for a special occasion dinner.
