Very good service. For 300mxn we got 2,5 hour boat tour at Bacalar lake, with 2 stops for swimming, water and beer. Captain Rene was very helpful. Have my recommendation.

The boats tour was nice
e went on a boat trip today 8/2-19 and we are very disappointed with the service. We did not get any information from the crew which boat we were supposed to go on and when we asked we got the answer that it did not matter because all captains spoke English. But once on board he did not say a single word in English. One person in our company speaks Spanish but the other two do not so we were ignored the entire time. Luckely we got translation from our friend but it was hard to hear the capitan because he was turning towards the Spanish speaking families only. When our friend politely asked if the capitan could explain in English as well he did not answer the question and just looked at us and shaked his head with an annoyed face expression. We were not the only English speaking on board. We were told that water was included on the boat but we never got offered. Apart from the capitans bad behavior we enjoyed the tour. The water is beautiful. If you don't speak fluent Spanish and expect service minded staff you should consider going with another company.
- Revised After a very average first tour with Cucos Tour with an unenthusiastic tour guide, we provided feedback about our experience. Edwin, who runs the service, touched base with us the following day asking for the opportunity to make it right for us. Luckily we were still in Bacalar and managed to take on a second tour he offered but this time with whom we believe the best tour guide he’s got: Jesus. Jesus was absolutely amazing. We learnt so much in that couple of hours on the boat with him. If we go to a place, we want to learn as much as possible and Jesus was the man to help us with that. He shared his detailed knowledge of the lagoon: its geology, its fauna and flora, the various tones in the water and why, as well the various measures the town has put in place to keep the lagoon in the amazing natural treasure it is today. A walking encyclopedia if you ask me. He also shared about Bacalar’s history pre-Hispanic, hispanic and current affairs always putting forward a very well informed and knowledgeable perspective on the topic. He is a proud Mayan man who loves what he does, where he comes from and he does it to a spectacular level. This is the kind of person you want as a tour guide and to experience this place through his eyes and knowledge. If you are thinking of coming to Bacalar, make sure you touch base with Edwin and Jesus in Cucos Tours. This is an experience you don’t want to miss.

Es un Tour flexible; el capitán es amable y atento. Cuidan de los pasajeros proporcionando chalecos salvavidas. recomendable. Acabo de regresar hoy en el.tour 15.30 horas y con servicio de recogida en tu Hotel con la amabilidad de Jovanni Cano.
